Mashed sweet potatoes recipe, a delicious and original alternative to the normal one.

Is the sweet potatoes purée as good as the normal potatoes one? Absolutely!

Try out this easy recipe to create one of the most delicious sides plate that have ever made.

Check out the recipe here:

Ingredients:

  • 3 Sweet potatoes;
  • 100 ml Milk;
  • 1 Pinch salt;
  • 1 Teaspoon cinnamon;
  • 1 Teaspoon butter.

Process:

The method to make this recipe is quite easy and straightforward.

First step is to fill a pan of water, slightly salt it and bring it to boiling temperature.

Peel the sweet potatoes and, when the water is boiling, throw the tubers in the pan.

Let the sweet potatoes boil for 25 minutes.

Pitchfork one of the potatoes to check if they are ready.

If the fork goes down inside the potato smoothly, then it means it’s ready. If the potato still feels hard, it will need another 5 minutes to cook properly.

Once they are ready, drain the water from the pan and add the cinnamon, the milk and the butter.

Either with a masher or with a fork, press strongly on the sweet potatoes to make them reach the right consistence.

When properly mashed stir everything up for a couple of minutes to make all the ingredients mix up together.

When the mix reaches a creamy consistence, your sweet potatoes purée is ready to be served.

How delicious! This sweet side plate is perfect both with meat and fish. You can also fit it with your vegetarian recipe!
