Red Sauce Pasta with Tuna

One of the easiest, cheapest and most surprising way of cooking pasta!

This will probably surprise who doesn’t know that, but pasta with tuna it’s a very popular dish in Italy. People just eat it all around the country, from Naples to Milan, from Rome to Genova, they simply eat it everywhere.

The reason is simple, it’s cheap, it’s easy and the results are amazing!

Ingredients (2 servings) :

  • 200g Pasta;
  • Half Onion;
  • 80g Tinned tuna in olive oil;
  • 350g Tomato sauce;
  • Salt.

Process:

The first step is to cut finely the onion.

Now, separate the oil in the can from the tuna and pour the first in a pan, leave for now the tuna out.

Pour the onions in the pan and let them fry until they don’t reach that browny color.

Now add the tuna to the pan, use a fork to break up the fish in pieces.

Let the mix cook for 5 minutes.

When the five minutes have passed add the tomato sauce and stir.

Let the mix cook for 15 minutes.

In the meantime, fill a pan with boiling water and salt it.

After, pour the pasta in the water and let it cook as much as it indicates on the package.

When the pasta is ready, drain it and pour the whole in the pan with tuna and tomato sauce.

Stir everything and serve!
